Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Co-founded in 1993, ACN started as a direct seller of long distance services based in Michigan. But today, ACN has grown exponentially to become the world’s largest direct selling telecommunications and home services company in the world, operating in 20 countries worldwide. Although ACN still provides local and long distance calling, it also provides digital phone service with its revolutionary video phone, wireless, high speed Internet, satellite TV, home security, and energy in Canada. Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: ACN offers service-driven products used nearly every day by nearly everyone, and these products are still in high demand, despite economically trying times. In addition, we offer a revolutionary video phone bringing the future of tomorrow into homes today. We believe this high-quality, easy-to-use, real-time video phone is changing the way people communicate. We also operate through a proven successful direct selling business model, allowing us to provide value and choice to consumers while also providing independent representatives with a lucrative business opportunity.
Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: As a direct selling company, our industry’s business model is often misunderstood due to the actions of a few bad companies. To combat this challenge, ACN puts its integrity in the forefront of everything it does, always complying with and exceeding the moral, ethical and legal expectations of our company and our representatives. We provide continual training to ensure our representatives match the level of integrity boasted by ACN within their independent ACN businesses.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: ACN is constantly reinventing itself while continuing to update its product offerings to meet the changes in technology and the needs of our customers and representatives. But we greet this challenge and see it as an opportunity to constantly evolve, progress as a company and as a provider of home services.
Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: We are preparing to launch our 21st country, South Korea, this summer! Anytime we further our world presence is a huge accomplishment. Plus, today we boast more promotions of our independent representatives than ever before, and we continue to add and expand availability for our products and services including our revolutionary video phone, a device that changed the way people communicate! Instead of merely hearing someone’s voice, users of our video phone can actually see the person they’re talking to – in real time. In 2009 ACN was the proud recipient of the DSA Success Award for the reinvention of our company.
Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: As a leader in the telecommunications industry, ACN realizes it’s important to maximize opportunities that will ensure company success in the communications market place.
