Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Creative Support Solutions (CSS) is a consulting firm that provides operational support in the areas of billing, provisioning and back-office processes.  It was founded in June 1998 by Marnell Robertson to fill the critical void that existed in these industry-specific areas.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Creative Support Solutions can attribute its success to the vision of its President, Marnell Robertson, who was aware of the struggle that companies often face with respect to their operational support systems and related processes.  Recognizing the lack of viable operational solutions in the areas of billing, provisioning, and back-office processes, Robertson established Creative Support Solutions to fill that void.   Through her unique focus on operational support and its often challenging and complex processes, Robertson has been able to offer her clients solutions to their operational needs.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: We have found that our biggest obstacle is identifying the most effective medium for promoting our products and services.  We know that there is a growing market for the services provided by Creative Support Solutions, and finding the best way to target that market is the obstacle we are tackling at this time.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: Creative Support Solutions views its biggest challenge as remaining one step ahead of the technological and regulatory road mines that continue to test our industry.  Positioning ourselves for the inevitable changes and maintaining a proactive posture are essential to success and long-term viability; adopting a catch-up mentality is not an option for our clients or our organization.

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: Creative Support Solutions is proud of the fact that it continues to grow its client base, particularly in an economic environment in which other entities have not had similar success.  We attribute that success not only to the hard work and dedication of our staff, but in our ability to be flexible and innovative in meeting our clients’ needs.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: It’s important for Creative Support Solutions to be a COMPTEL member for two distinct reasons.  First, it provides us with further access to the needs and concerns of a very important and growing component of the communications industry – the competitive communications service providers.  Secondly, as a COMPTEL member, Creative Support Solutions is provided with another venue through which to reach out to potential new clients, and to network more effectively with those entities with whom we share common clients.
