WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 2, 2019) – Today the State of Florida announced its support for the Department of Justice’s plan on the proposed merger between wireless providers T-Mobile and Sprint, elevating DISH as a new entrant into the market.

In response, Chip Pickering, CEO of INCOMPAS released the following statement:

“Florida’s support and endorsement for the merger between T-Mobile and Sprint, with the elevation of DISH as a fourth national wireless provider, is good news for competition and consumers.

“I commend the State of Florida and its well-respected antitrust team for taking the time to review the details of the merger. The commitments made by the parties will bring consumers more choice and competition. T Mobile, Sprint and DISH have a long history of consumer-friendly competitive innovation and will be critical players in our nation’s deployment agenda and the race to 5G.”
