Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Peerless Network, founded in May 2006, is a fully funded, privately held company focused on simplifying the interconnection process for other telecommunications service providers via a wide range of innovative services. Based in Chicago, the company currently delivers services in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Connecticut, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis, Milwaukee, and the Illinois cities of Peoria, Rockford, Springfield and Champaign. Peerless is currently certified to provide a wide range of telecommunications services in 23 states
Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Peerless Network’s success is based on providing unparalleled service at unprecedented value proposition. The management team has over 100 years of telecom experience. We believe that the more services we can provide our customers over a single connection, the greater the value. Our customers and prospects are focused on receiving a quality products and services that drive results directly to the bottom line.
Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: Our biggest obstacle is expanding to more markets quickly to meet strong customer demand. Our customers want Peerless Network in more markets sooner. In the near future, Peerless Network will be announcing major expansion plans to meet the needs of our valued customers.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: Our greatest challenge is making sure that we continue to focus on growing the number of markets to meet customer demand, while maintaining the highest quality.
Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: Peerless Network is a strong supporter of competition in the telecommunications industry. Recently, we have achieved major success in our legal battle with Neutral Tandem. The U.S. Patent and Trade Market Office rejected all 23 claims in Neutral Tandem’s patent. Each claim was not rejected just once but several times over. In addition, The U.S. District Court in Chicago has vacated the trial date pending final review at the U.S. Patent and Trade Market Office. These key victories are not only a success for Peerless Network, but for competition in the tandem and switched access markets.
Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: COMPTEL has been force in ensuring positive dialog amongst industry members and has been a champion of competition. We believe that strong dialog amongst the industry members is needed to ensure that competition is maintained.
