Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A:
GeoResults, Inc. was incorporated in June 2001 as a telecom database marketing and consulting firm. GeoResults focuses on the development of national telecom database products and services and customized telecom solutions to help our clients achieve profitable business growth by:

  1. Identifying, ranking, and locating the best high-value addressable customer prospects for specific telecom services in any U.S. market.
  2. Assessing and ranking new geographic or customer segment markets for potential new business opportunities.
  3. Developing network facility and switching equipment deployment plans based on addressable business potential.
  4. Understanding competitive profiles and individual competitor profiles in any U.S. market to develop and refine competitive positioning strategies.

Q: To what do you attribute your company's success in the communications industry?
A:
Our success is due directly to our extensive telecom industry and technology knowledge and experience. Most GeoResults' professionals have over 25 years in the telecom industry doing business planning, market planning, network and facilities planning, and database marketing within various regional incumbent telephone companies and also for the Nortel Networks Global Professional Services telecom consulting division. GeoResults has the distinction of employing highly experienced telecom professionals who have entered the data market with telephony-enabled product solutions. GeoResults is unique because we are telephony professionals who understood the need for and then develop information critical to the success of telecom companies. GeoResults is not just a generic data vendor attempting to understand telecom.

GeoResults uses its knowledge of the industry coupled with a strong consultative approach to clearly understand the needs of our clients and work collaboratively with them to develop customized solutions that help them succeed in their marketing and customer acquisition initiatives.

GeoResults consistently achieves high marks from our clients for our responsiveness in rapidly developing and delivering customized solutions that allow our clients to achieve speed to market and for our flexibility in adjusting these solutions to accommodate new learning from initial market trials and sales feedbacks.

GeoResults is constantly reviewing our Custom Telecom Solutions by observing industry and technology trends and talking with our clients to learn new ways to improve the value of our standard Telecom Database Products and Services. In the last year, 12 new telecom fields were added to our national telecom database and several major new enhancements were made to our suite of Competitive Telecom Infrastructure Reports.

GeoResults' clients always have direct access to the subject matter experts at GeoResults to discuss their needs and requirements and jointly review the product and solution proposals and subsequent deliverables for key understandings and recommendations on how to create their output to meet their distinct needs.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A:
GeoResults was founded in 2001, during a time of compression in the telecom industry. We had to both find and then grow a new business when money was very scarce for informational resources. This also made the expansion of our brand awareness in the marketplace quite a challenge.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A:
Our clients depend on us to help them become aware of opportunities as they begin to take shape on the horizon. We have to continue to identify telecom technological and market trends in advance of their need, and then develop ways to quantify these trends in our databases so they can be quantified in a custom methodology for each of our clients. This proves to be quite a challenge for our research staff.

Q: What have been some of your company's most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)
A:
We are very proud that our information was used by the various legal counsel groups in the evaluation of the recent AT&T/SBC and MCI/Verizon merger activities. In addition, we are pleased to announce a contract with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to provide our GeoLITTM reports for research and analytical usage. We are also excited about the recent release of our latest informational product, the GeoResults entertainment video propensity and usage models appended to each record in our national business database.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A:
Many of our existing clients are members of COMPTEL. COMPTEL provides us valuable information on mergers and new insight in what new services or products our clients are releasing. The Spring and Fall shows are also great ways for us to touch base and network with many of our clients at one location.
